wow...

Wow. That was such a rush. I can see why people want to be on the radio. I'm just listening back to it now. Got an early plug in for Starvox.net. Ideally I'd have talked about my writing first, rather than my recycling, but I think things went well for my first time on radio. I talked about Voices of Masada, comparing them to The Chameleons, which wasn't exactly what I meant, but which stirred the interest of James Endeacott of Rough Trade. I got to slag off Oasis, confess that the first single I bought was Nik Kershaw's The Riddle and even got an on-air invitation from Steve Lemacq to return. All in all it's been a good night's work...

Hey, you were VERY good. I enjoyed your dry wit and perceptive comments, though it's a shame they didn't let you comment at the end of each song with the rest of the panel (who I enjoyed as well, despite always having had Hugh Cornwell down as bit a bit of a tosser). And I think they liked your being a community recycling officer actually. Hope Steve Lamacq is true to his word and gets you back on...

Thanks. Without wanting to sound immodest I was really pleased by what I heard when I played it back. I didn't recognise my voice, which was odd, but even the bits I thought I'd fluffed came out OK. It's a chaotic kind of show anyway, so unfinished sentences etc, didn't matter.

Me too. If you fancy sending my new best friend Steve an email suggesting my swift return his address is lamacq@6music.co.uk... :-)

Astonishing - I can't believe you're the only person on LJ who has Fi Glover in their interests. I shall rectify this immediately. (Sorry to make you a tad less unique but I'm sure you understand).
